Ragging refers to the act of teasing, bullying or humiliating new students in educational institutions, often as a form of initiation. It can range from harmless pranks to serious harassment, affecting students' mental and emotional well-being. Thus anti-ragging measures are put in place by institutions to prevent such behavior and ensure a safe environment for all students.
The Anti Ragging Committee was established at St. Xavier’s College, Maharo, Dumka in 2011. At our college we are committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment for all students. We strictly follow guidelines set by the University Grant Commission and other regulatory bodies to ensure a ragging free campus.
